    Reflection on use of Tool
Would you recommend this tool for student portfolios at TGS? Why?
Please list and comment on major advantages and/or disadvantages of this tool.
Yes, if they are visual people or creative producers. If they already like the format of Prezi.
Not exactly easy to master the tools and not entirely useful for all website integration. Limited space and zooming unlike Prezi

    Reflection on artifacts
Comment on the type of artifacts used and how transferable they were to use with your tool.
What other software did you use to help create the portfolio?
Picture of the student could have been more 'creative', video would not load. Everything else transfered easily enough. Google drive was again very easy to integrate with this application.
    Reflection on Process
Share general comments about designing, creating, and sharing the digital portfolio.
Share specific comments about the creating the accompanying Reflection creation and Student-Led Conference process
Easy to share via the link. Some glitches in the application but overall a useful tool for students.

Workflow and Process Observations during workshop - Julie
    - Teams of 2 working well
    - First challenge - find a tool - BUT as Jarret pointed out, students should really focus on theme and what they want the design to look like first then find a tool to suit this
    - Challenge - naming the website - need to give some guidelines for this - ties in with BRANDING - should students use their full names eg julielindsay.wordpress.com or a thematic label eg goodstudent.wordpress.com
    - Header - need photoshop or similar to create banner in Wordpress - in other tools?
    - challenge fitting subject-based artifacts into a holistic theme.....
    - Uploading files - need to know capabilities of each software eg video files too large. Also need to consider outsourcing and embedding back into portfolio tool eg uploading to YouTube
    - Video formats - .mov not always suitable
    - Software issues - learning how to manage the tool - having to compromise design due to lack of software expertise?
    - How to 'pair' the reflections with the artifacts - part of design.
    - Does a reflection always have to be text?

    Discussion March 2
*Students coming to TGS may have their own portfolios - how to integrate
*How to showcase learning - how to support, what do we do?
*What is the difference bw a portfolio and a blog
*When do portfolios start? Grade 9?
*How do we encourage metacognition? What tools foster this?
*Where are samples of other student portfolios?
*Will learning outcomes be a feature/included in portfolios?
*Will TGS use a template? Criteria? Checklist?
*Brand of me? How is this delivered?
*Reflection of core value as TGS students - will this be shown? The brand of TGS?
*How do we find a balance between student-centred and showing you are a TGS student
